Laura Kriefman

Guerilla Dance Project Founder & Architectural Choreographer

Laura Kriefman is an Architectural Choreographer, renowned for her groundbreaking work in Augmented Dance—a fusion of movement and technology that transforms urban landscapes into living art. Through her innovative approach, Laura redefines the relationship between architecture and dance, exploring how infrastructure, like mechanical cranes, can become part of a city’s choreography. Her work, including the spectacular *Mass Crane Dance*, merges music, light, and synchronized construction cranes to create mesmerizing performances across city skylines.

As the founder of the award-winning Guerilla Dance Project, Laura specializes in creating large-scale dance installations and performances that push the boundaries of traditional dance by integrating technology. The company, resident at the Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol, has been commissioned worldwide, from the USA to Indonesia, for its inventive approach to movement and digital innovation. Laura’s work challenges societal perceptions of dance, showing how it can be a pure translation of energy across time and space. She continues to collaborate with leading universities across Europe on new touring projects, pushing the intersection of art and technology.
