Ani Choying Drolma is a globally renowned singer, revered for her ethereal voice and profound spiritual presence. Educated in a Buddhist nunnery, Ani delved deeply into Buddhist meditation, chants, rituals, and ceremonies, quickly rising to the esteemed position of chanting master. Ani captivated audiences on MTV’s Coke Studio with a composition by A.R. Rahman, redefining the genre of world music with her soul-stirring performances.

Beyond her musical endeavors, Ani is dedicated to philanthropy and education. The proceeds from her concerts, CD sales, and donations support the Arya Tara School, which she founded in 2000. The school is committed to empowering nuns, providing them with opportunities for education and personal development. Inspired by her master Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche’s vision of gender equality in Buddhism, Ani seeks to create a nurturing environment where nuns can cultivate their skills and serve others with compassion.
