Fiona Arakal is a visionary entrepreneur and founder of Ishka Farms, India’s first farm-to-fork caper cultivator and zero-waste agro-business that has successfully put India on the global caper export map.
Her deep understanding of distribution systems was honed through her work in the family business, setting up and running the distribution network for fast-moving consumer goods and textiles. This experience led her to challenge traditional methods as she envisioned Ishka Farms. Her expertise in anticipating challenges and optimizing farm processes has been instrumental in creating value-added products and benefiting downstream and upstream stakeholders within the farming ecosystem.
Raised with a strong emphasis on community service and education, Fiona’s work is driven by the belief that community ambition should surpass personal goals. This philosophy is central to her efforts at Ishka Farms, where she is committed to promoting the reverse migration of educated youth to rural areas. Fiona holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.
