Sandhya Goli is a distinguished chess player from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, with a career marked by significant achievements on the global stage. Beginning her chess journey at the age of 13, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill, securing multiple prestigious titles. Among her notable accomplishments are the Sri Lankan Open Championship (2013), World Open Mixed Doubles and Millionaire Chess Open Mixed Doubles titles (2014), and a Silver medal at the World Women’s Amateur Championship in Greece (2015).

Awarded the INK Fellowship in 2016, Sandhya leveraged the support and opportunities provided by the INK community to further her international chess career. Her success continued with three Golds, a Silver, and a Bronze at the Asian Women’s Amateur Championships (2016-2019), and a Silver at the World Women’s Amateur Chess Championships in Mexico (2019). She also achieved top rankings at the US Women’s Open and World Open Chess Tournament in Philadelphia.

As a Woman Candidate Master, a title conferred by the World Chess Federation in 2022, Sandhya remains committed to her ultimate goal of becoming a Woman Grandmaster. In addition to her competitive pursuits, she aspires to establish a chess academy dedicated to nurturing talent from underprivileged communities, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of chess.
